Island in the Sun

So we went to Tybee Island today as planned. We made it down a lot quicker than I though we would because I found a shorter way. So it was only about 2 hours instead of 3. Noah and I are red as lobsters. Noah is because he wouldn't stay out of the ocean and the waterproof sunscreen couldn't hold up. I'm burnt because all I used (with my fish belly toned skin) was dark tanning oil. Yeah, I know. I'm an idiot. Since I'm too exhausted to actually write tonight, here are a few photos so you can get to know the ones I love, and complain about, so much.

There were a few of these, and...
a lot of these.
Noah with his new snorkel and mask. He didn't wear it once when he was actually in the water. Tessa and her Daddy. Thomas says he hates his hair, by the way.
Tessa digging with a borrowed shovel and pail. Thank you family who was next to us.
Noah getting splashed.

Maritessa feeding the gulls. I really love this shot.
This is the closest she got to the water. The next shot was blurry because she was running away.

Tripp was exhausted.
You know you're a redneck when... You actually bring Noodles to the beach. Instead of boogie boards like all the classy people.

Tessa said from the back of the van, "Mommy, Daddy! Look what I can do!" This was her next milestone.

Nice lovely afterglow. It was an angry red a couple of hours later.

Burn or no burn, looks like you had a lot of fun!

Whoa @ Tessa's milestone. That is the kind of thing my brother would teach me how to do when we were growing up. Sadly, my folks never got it on camera!

I wish I could say her brother taught her. I'm pretty sure she picked it up from me. I'm always flipping off my husband because I thought it was better than saying, "Fuck you!" in front of the kids. Not that I don't do that too at times. ;)
